What is your plan?
The 2019 Atlantic Hurricane Season is here! June 1 was the official beginning date but there have not been any tropical developments yet as June ends. Those who lived in the path of Hurricane Harvey in the North Bay area in 2017 know the devastation caused by the winds, storm surge, tornadoes and flooding and may have adjusted their personal evacuation plans as a result.

One of the favorite recreational opportunities found in the North Bay area is fishing – bay fishing from a boat…bank fishing…wade fishing…pier fishing.
Hurricane season already?
The 2018 Hurricane Season is here! Although June 1 is the official beginning date, Subtropical Storm Albert reached the coast of the Florida Panhandle on Sunday, May 27.
Creative resilience
With a welcoming smile, “The Tex-Mex Slow Cooker” author Vianney Rodriguez greeted each person. Released on March 6, 2018, this cookbook realized the childhood dream of an Aransas Pass native and with printing beginning immediately following hurricane Harvey, she added a message to her Aransas Pass community.
Chasing a dream
On August 25, 2017, Carolyn Sloan-Thibault was in Austin helping her grandchildren get ready for the new school year. She had been there for a week and had carefully followed the tropical weather forecasts for the Rockport area. When hurricane warnings were issued for Rockport, she called her husband, Ron Thibault, who said, “Don’t come home!”.
