Ingleside on the Bay (IOB) is the smallest community in the North Bay and has a very small commercial area. One of those areas is Bahia Marina and IOB residents are so happy to have their own eatery, Dock Store.
A Big Foot footnote
Ingleside on the Bay is a very small, quiet community on the La Quinta Channel in My Coastal World. Residents enjoy a waterfront view and a laid-back lifestyle. The panorama includes fishing boats searching for a trout, kayaks paddling through quiet water, a bay shrimper heading out for the day and the outline of the Corpus Christi shoreline.

The communities in My Coastal World continue struggling with the effects of Hurricane Harvey but businesses, cities' staff and organizations are persevering to find the resources and time to hold holiday events enjoyed by young and old.
Rebuilding My Coastal World
Three months ago, residents of My Coastal World ventured out to see the destruction left behind by Hurricane Harvey. Today they spent the last day of a Thanksgiving weekend under sunny skies with a mild breeze. Some were fishing. Some were shopping. Some were saying goodbye to family and friends. Many had much to be thankful for while some continue to make hard decisions.

The devastation by Hurricane Harvey touched all My Coastal World, the North Bay area, even if unequally. Portland and Gregory, at the southern end, received less wind and storm surge than the communities slightly to their north. Rockport and Fulton experienced the eye wall of Harvey with Category 4 winds on August 25.
The day after Harvey’s landfall
At first light on Saturday, August 26, 2017, my feet hit the floor carrying me to the closest window. Our “safe refuge” had allowed me to sleep through the worst of Hurricane Harvey as it slowly moved inland.
Surviving Hurricane Harvey
Friday, August 25 at 4:00 p.m., the National Weather Service Corpus Christi announced hurricane force winds were to begin in less than two hours.
