The Davilas returned to their Bahia Bay home in Rockport after Hurricane Harvey to see utter destruction. After salvaging what they could, they began the process of rebuilding their lives. Their pieces of art which they had enjoyed seeing in their home were stored for the time being.

Today they spent the last day of a Thanksgiving weekend under sunny skies with a mild breeze. Some were fishing. Some were shopping. Some were saying goodbye to family and friends. Many had much to be thankful for while some continue to make hard decisions.
The devastation by Hurricane Harvey touched all My Coastal World, the North Bay area, even if unequally. Portland and Gregory, at the southern end, received less wind and storm surge than the communities slightly to their north. Rockport and Fulton experienced the eye wall of Harvey with Category 4 winds on August 25.
